Description
The activities of the Council of Europe in the field of higher education and research are mainly based on the following axes: recognition of qualifications, public responsibility for higher education and research, governance of higher education and other areas relevant for the creation of a European Higher Education Area by 2010. In addition, the Council of Europe supports higher education reforms in priority regions, mainly in South-Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and the CIS countries.
