The new monitoring of stillbirths in France since 2012

For the first time since 2007, stillbirth data in line with World Health Organisation thresholds are available. In 2013, one in every one hundred and ten children was born lifeless. The stillbirth rate is estimated at 8.9 ‰ in 2013 for the whole of France, based on hospital stays during childbirth.
