REDIAM. WMS HIC 1120 Posidonia meadows (Posidonion oceanicae)
Description
WMS service corresponding to meadows of the Posidonia oceanica seagrass, which constitute the most mature stage of the succession of the seabed less than 50 m deep. These formations, which support a great biodiversity, are characterized by being constituted by a dense network of rhizomes that unites and maintains the sandy substrate, on which its long and thin leaves, tapered, provide protection and sustenance to a rich and outstanding fauna. Integrated in the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Cartographic System of Andalusia.
