Temporary employment agencies and placement services;turnover development, 2015=100, 2005-2023
Description
This table contains figures on the turnover development of temporary employment agencies and employment services. This concerns all companies with the main activity in the temporary employment sector (SBI 2008 division 78) with the exception of job pools (SBI 2008 division 78203). Job pools are not part of this study. The share of these companies within the total temporary employment sector (SBI 78) and the temporary employment and lending agencies (SBI division 782) is small at 1 percent. The development is shown as a percentage change compared to a previous period and by means of indices with the base year 2015. In addition to turnover developments, the predecessor of this table (see paragraph 3) also included the development of temporary agency hours. As of the first quarter of 2018, CBS will no longer publish the development of temporary employment hours.
Turnover developments are published in two forms. First of all, as year-on-year developments in which growth compared to the same period in the previous year is central. These figures are presented uncorrected.
The second form concerns period-on-period developments, for example quarter-on-quarter. Period-on-period developments are possible by applying seasonal adjustment.
