Description
Do you want to build something new or adapt a building and do you need an environmental permit for that? Then your plan will be tested against requirements of prosperity. This means that a committee checks whether the building fits within the street scene. The Spatial Quality Committee checks whether your construction plan meets the requirements.
The requirements that a construction plan must meet are set out in the Welfare Note. With these standards, we want the spatial quality to remain the same. The standards of prosperity of a building are about: the placement, the shape, the proportions (size), the material use, the color. Each area has its own welfare requirements. On the Welstandskaart you can see which requirements apply in an area.
Not all areas are equally important for the “face” of the municipality of Ede. Therefore, a classification has been chosen into areas with different levels of prosperity: special, smooth and prosperous. “Special” is for areas that are highly visual or otherwise valuable. Flexible is especially for the regular residential areas and welfare-free for areas where we only make recommendations for.
