Solar heat; number of installations, collector area and heat production
Description
This table contains data on solar heat. This concerns the number of installations, the collector surface and the heat production.
Solar heat is extracted for heating water. Main applications are; hot water for households with covered systems <= 6m2 (solar water heaters) and the heating of swimming pool water with uncovered systems.
This concerns solar heat (with solar collectors) and not solar power (with solar panels).
The figures are based on the collectors sold by importers and manufacturers during the reporting period.
Data available since 1990.
Status of figures:
This table presents final figures up to 2022 and further provisional figures for 2023.
Changes as of November 2024:
The figures have not been adjusted. Figures 2022 now have the final status.
Changes as of June 2024:
Further provisional figures for 2023 have been added.
When will there be new figures:
Preliminary figures for the previous year will be published in June.
Final figures are published in November of the second year after the year under review.
