Description
CNIB studies are one of the essential tools for risk assessment. Indeed, they provide at one point a photograph of the food consumption habits of the population in metropolitan France. Combined with ANSES databases on the composition of food (several million data), these data make it possible to know the intakes of beneficial substances present in our diet (vitamins, essential fatty acids, etc.)
The available data include all the topics covered by the study: -the characteristics of the individuals who participated in the study, in particular demographic and socio-economic characteristics, food selection criteria, food preparation and preservation, lifestyle habits, health status, attitudes and opinions regarding food; -the daily nutritional intakes of 38 nutrients of individuals; -the detailed and quantified food consumption over the week of the individuals and the description of the occasions of consumption (place, duration, etc.); -food supplement consumption (type of food supplement and quantity, context and purchasing motivations) and nutritional intakes from food supplements at individual level.
