Housing conditions for beneficiaries of minimum social security schemes: access difficulties, overcrowding and budgetary constraints

At the end of 2012, more than a third of social minima beneficiaries were tenants in the social sector. At the same time, about a quarter do not have their own accommodation: 18% are hosted by relatives or occupy a loaned dwelling (compared to 4% of people in the first quintile of living standards), 2% live in homes or social residences and 3% are in hotels, accommodation centres, mobile homes or homeless homes.
