Beneficiaries of departmental social assistance

At the end of 2012, the departments paid 3.6 million social assistance benefits as support for the elderly, people with disabilities, children and integration. This number increased by 4% in one year, mainly due to the increase in the number of holders of the active solidarity income – SSA (+5% in 2012) and, to a lesser extent, in the number of persons with disabilities (+3%).
