The difficult family or social situation experienced by children in child welfare institutions has an impact on their education. These children are experiencing situations of drop-out, including the year in which the placement occurs. At the age of 15, they are three times more likely in this situation than other adolescents of their age. And at the end of compulsory schooling, many leave school without embarking on working life.
