Emissions of CO2 and pollutants from vehicles marketed in France

Description

Since 2001, ADEME has acquired these data every year from the Union Technique de l’Automobile du motocycle et du Cycle UTAC (which is responsible for approving vehicles before they are put on sale) in agreement with the Ministry of Sustainable Development. For each vehicle, the original data (transmitted by Utac) are as follows: - fuel consumption - carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions - emissions of air pollutants (regulated under the Euro standard) - all the technical characteristics of the vehicles (ranges, brands, models, CNIT number, type of energy, etc.) On the Carlabelling website ([http://carlabelling.ademe.fr](http://carlabelling.ademe.fr)), ADEME supplements these data with the following information: - the values of the bonus malus and the Energy Class - CO2 label (which vary according to the regulations resulting from the Finance Law and its decrees) - the results of assessments such as the annual cost of fuel consumption over 15 000 km It also establishes rankings to distinguish the "cleanest CO2 and most energy-efficient" vehicles (Palmarès).
