Description
GE.Berggund 1:1 million is a simplified and transformed version of SGU's product Berggrund 1:1 million in order to meet the INSPIRE data specification for the Geology theme by coding according to GeoSciML 4.1.
The bedrock map is a two-dimensional model of the bedrock's upper surface and provides an overview of the main features of Sweden's bedrock. The product describes the distribution of different bedrock units, material composition and geological events that have affected the units. Deformation zones such as faults are also reported.
The product is adapted for presentation at a scale of 1:1 million, which means that the information is greatly generalized.
