Prices of residential real estate in Paris since 1840
Description
This index of housing prices in Paris since 1840 has been reconstituted by J. Friggit (CGEDD) by linking the Gaston Duon index on 1840-1944, an index reconstituted by a method of repeated sales from the notarial databases from 1944 to 1999 and the Notaires-INSEE index from 1999. The methodology is described in § 1.2. of the note “Comparing Four Secular Home Price Indices” (June 2008) downloadable in § 2.3. of the file on the [long-term housing price](http://www.cgedd.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/prix-immobilier-evolution-1200-a1048.html) maintained by the CGEDD.
