Description
Resources describing all the sources, methods and bibliographic references used in the book “Capital in the 21st Century” (Thomas Piketty), in particular to establish the statistical series used in the charts and tables.
In particular, it contains analyses for many countries, including France:
— world production and growth, by country, volume and value; share of population-related growth and share related to productivity gains (GDP per capita)
— employment by sector of activity
— exchange rates and purchasing power parities euro/dollar/yuan/roupie/yen
— capital/income ratio
— distribution of capital income: land, real estate, furniture

— concentration of income and capital by decile and percentile of the population

The power of these series comes from their global and continuous character over several centuries (including estimates of growth since antiquity).
