Description
The RGC® made by the IGN is a text file containing the position
geographical area of town (May), coupled with
administrative information.
**Description of certain fields**\
— POPU: 1999 census, without double counting, rounded to
100 inhabitants.
— SURFACE: Area estimated in 1975 by the cadastre department of the
the Directorate-General for Taxes, corrected for changes
local authorities since 1975. This “fiscal” surface does not
does not necessarily correspond to the geographical area of the municipality.
— NAME: Name of the municipal entity. The name of the capital city
(place where the town hall is located) is not always the same as
name of commune.
