Description

The cost benchmark for follow-up care and rehabilitation (SSR) activity is in the form of a daily cost scale organised according to a medico-economic group (MEG) classification. This classification is based on the patient’s stay for full hospitalisation and the day for partial hospitalisation (without overnight stay). Its objective is to describe SSR support, with 684 GME identified. This medico-economic description makes it possible to better compare hospitalisations in medical terms. This benchmark was developed from a sample of 50 health facilities, rectified with national data collected by the Medical Information Systems Program (PMSI). The average daily costs for full or partial hospitalisation were calculated on the basis of data from the 2010 National Cost Study (NCS). In addition to the total daily cost, the expenditure items constituting this cost are detailed. For the care of a patient, it is possible to know the amount of medical care, technical procedures, medicines used, operating expenses of the establishment... The summary document “Main results from the 2010 benchmark” details the sampling rates of the ENCC sample and presents elements for analysing the daily costs. In addition, two guides facilitate/accompanie the reading and understanding of this information: — the “Practical Reference Guide 2010” lists the detailed data in the repository and explains the content of the various tabs; — the “Technical Reference Guide 2010” sets out the methods for calculating the average daily cost and the associated statistical indicators.
