Evaluative Research Programme on Rural Hubs of Excellence
Description
The Datar launched in 2007 an evaluative research programme on RIPs explicitly aimed at the research community, whether public or private (consultants). Focusing on the angle of action-research, this program complements the evaluation reports of the CGAAER, of Edaterou of the Senate. A group on foresight and evaluation of RIPs and rural was supported in 2008 under the chairmanship of André Torre (Inra). Ten research-studies were selected following a call for tenders. The lines of work and methodologies of the winning teams have been clarified. In autumn 2009, at the time of the Assises of Rural Territories and the launch of a second call for PER projects, these results are fed into the processes of reflection and public action towards rural areas.
