Positioning of medium-sized universities and secondary sites in the reorganisation of the French higher education and research systems
Description
Higher education institutions are seen as a potential lever for economic, social and cultural development. This is all the more important since some territories have moved from exogenous growth to endogenous growth on which the establishments are attached. This awareness benefits from a favourable institutional context (circular of 25 November 2004 and Research Programme Law of 18 April 2006), which facilitates and stimulates the networking of actors contributing to the economic development of a territory.In the framework of these dynamics in networks, DIACT wanted to analyse the positioning of “medium” universities and secondary sites in the context of the reorganisation of the French higher education system. Indeed, the evolution of the latter raises the problem of the future of these types of higher education institutions.
