Labour force from 1962 to 2009 (to 1/4) The working population includes:
employed persons and unemployed persons (excluding military personnel)
quota therefore) In 1999 the population census distinguished
entry into employment situations and situations of non-employment. This
excluded a priori from recording mixed situations such as
students who worked a few hours to finance their studies
or pensioners who completed their pension by a few hours of
work. The inclusion of these mixed situations in the census of
2006 artificially increases the number of workers, especially at age
extremes (before 25 years and after 55 years). In order to be able to achieve
comparisons with previous censuses, it is therefore preferable to
only work on assets between the ages of 25 and 54 because they are
the least impacted by changes in concepts. 17 % of the assets of
less than 25 years in employment are in mixed situations, 9 % of 55 year olds
and more and only 4 % of 25-54 year olds.
