Statistical observation of cross-border territories
Description
This study proposes a method to improve knowledge of cross-border territories located at French borders. These cross-border territories are at stake, whose functioning, apprehended by bits at local level but very irregularly according to borders, suffers from partial and fragmented knowledge. Insufficient knowledge of their functioning does not, for the time being, make it possible to optimally conduct the public policies they need. However, through their role as the hinge and front posts of European integration, they have all their place in the national approach of the Observatory of Territories.
