Temporary employment statistics
Description
Temporary employment agencies shall draw up and send to the managing body of unemployment insurance (Undic and Pôleemploi) a monthly statement of temporary employment contracts for each of the temporary work assignments carried out during the month. Based on this monthly information, Dares develops various indicators.
Monthly, the evolution of the number of temporary workers at the end of the month is given. The statistics for month m are based on monthly statements of contracts sent to Pôleemploi by temporary work establishments before the end of month m 2, with the exception of the last point, provisional, estimated from the statements sent before the end of month m 1.
The volume of temporary work by sector of activity seasonally adjusted is also indicated as well as regional data (temporary work volume during the month, number of contracts in progress at the end of the month, number of contracts concluded during the month); however, the latter are raw data subject to high seasonality: this should be taken into account for any conjunctural commentary. In addition, they are assigned to the region of the temporary work establishment.
