Beneficiaries of the third-party compensatory allowance and the disability compensation benefit: two very different populations

Survey conducted in 2009-2010 of a sample of recipients of the Third-Party Compensation Benefit (ACTP) or Disability Compensation Benefit (PCH) aged 20 to 59 years of age living in a regular home in themetropolitan territory.The study aims to provide a portrait of beneficiaries in order to better understand these populations and to understand the reasons for the choice of either benefit where possible.The sample included a total of 8,333 beneficiaries, spread across 18 departments.Lighting is partial to the extent that recipients residing in institutions have not been questioned.
