Description
The GPV programme, for the period 2000-2006, takes over the
Major Urban Projects (GPU) launched between 1991 and 1994.
It integrates with the
City contracts that it complements and strengthens.
The GPV is a
overall social and urban development project, which is part of the
duration (10-15 years), which aims to reintegrate one or more neighbourhoods into
the dynamics of development of their agglomeration.
It concentrates on
massive investments in sites devalued in space terms,
economic and social, as well as in terms of image.
His actions carry
in particular on the restructuring of the building, the implementation of services
public and collective, the opening-up of neighbourhoods and their
integration into the agglomeration.
GPVs are usually driven by public interest groups
(GIP).
