French from abroad: entries in the register of French established outside France (2001-2013)
Description
This dataset presents the status, year by year, and country by country, of entries in the register of French established outside France, from 2001 to 2013. Registration in the Register, a voluntary process open to French residents abroad, is carried out with the network of French embassies and consulates. Registration in the register is not mandatory. It is estimated that the overall number of French people living abroad, including those not registered, between 2 and 2.5 million.
