Broadcast of contemporary dance shows in Île-de-France, between the seasons 2003/2004 and 2011/2012
Description
Sources: monthly tables produced by Drac Île-de-France on the
dissemination of the dance, completed during the consultation of the
Ivorian dance companies in 2007 by Arcadi, using the
seasonal bulletins of venue and festival programming and
other sources (websites, Danser magazine). This work has been
continued after 2007.\

In the logic of the method of input of the information initially adopted,
the continuation of the census work has excluded the programming of the
shows during the months of July and August, which has the effect of
in particular not to take into account the shows presented during the
summer festivals in Île-de-France. The base thus lists the shows
contemporary creative dance, via places identified as
belonging to the network for the diffusion of contemporary dance. She’s not
not necessarily correlated with the existence of public support and takes
taking into account all the dance companies that have offered a show
in Île-de-France during the seasons considered, even if these companies
are not originating and/or located in the region.\
Given the amount of information contained in this database,
errors and omissions are possible, but are theoretically not
significant, especially as data collection took place
with the same procedures: comparisons are thus made on
homogeneous sets.
