General government expenditure by expenditure function
Description
In national accounts, defence data are included in general government expenditure broken down by “function” or policy area. At the most aggregated level, the functional classification of public administration identifies a “Defence” position as well as a “Public Order and Security” position among a dozen public policy objectives.
