Description
Within port boundaries, for its own management needs, the Department uses a sub-division for ports for which it has direct management.
These data are only for the 10 direct management ports located on the Arcachon Basin.The boundaries have no geographical value and only contribute to a better geographical identification of port infrastructure.
Often they correspond to a historical division whose denomination relates to the villages or so-called pre-existant places to the creation of ports.These boundaries are theoretically fully included within the boundaries of the Port Public Maritime Domain in which the Department exercises its police power.
This division has no regulatory value.
