Description
The couple life of new migrants: The betting and then the couple life of the new migrants differs according to sex. Women, mainly from the Maghreb, were usually married before migrating, and accompany or join their spouses in France. The men, settled in France for a longer time, became a couple more often after the migration. They are also more in less conventional forms of union (non-cohabitant, unmarried) or even single. These discrepancies are consistent with the reasons for migration.
