Supply of natural gas from the public network; house features
Description
This table contains figures on the average consumption of natural gas per m² of use area for private homes in the Netherlands broken down by type of housing, year of construction class, area class and energy label class. This concerns the consumption of natural gas supplied via the public network. Natural gas consumption is as well adjusted for temperature effects as possible, but it cannot be ruled out that temperature differences still play a role in changes in the know-how between different years. In order to monitor energy savings, it is therefore necessary to look at all the facts over a longer period of time.
In addition to the average, information on the distribution of natural gas consumption per m² is also included.
The statistics published in this table have been calculated on the basis of dwellings with:
private households,
a minimum area of 15 m² and a maximum area of 500 m²,
a year of construction from 1000 to the year under review,
at least 1 registered resident,
without district heating and,
plausible natural gas consumption.
Data will be available from 2012.
Status of the figures: The figures for 2012 to 2018 are final, the 2019 figures are provisional.
