Investments in fixed assets; type and region, national accounts
Description
This table gives an overview of gross fixed capital formation (according to the ownership criterion) by type of asset in the different regions.
The figures are taken from the regional accounts, the quantitative description of the economic process of the different regions within a country. Regional investment figures are consistent with national accounts totals. It concerns investments in fixed assets from production and imports, i.e. excluding sales of used fixed assets. By linking the figures to the national accounts, they provide a coordinated description of the regional economy and are ideally suited to comparing the results of the different regions.

Status of the figures?
The figures for the years 1995 to 2022 are final.
Changes as of 9 December 2024:
This is a new table.
The Central Bureau of Statistics recently revised the national accounts. New sources, methods and concepts are introduced into the national accounts, so that the picture of the Dutch economy is optimally aligned with all underlying statistics, sources and international guidelines for compiling the national accounts. This table shows the figures after revision. For more information see section 3.
When will new figures become available?
New figures will be available in December 2025.
