Sick leave according to employees; gender and age
Description
This table contains data on sick leave of workers aged 15 to 75, broken down by sex and age. This also includes employees who are employed but do not perform work due to illness, maternity leave or other temporary career breaks. Furthermore, the table also includes data on the last absenteeism of employees. The table refers to cases of absenteeism that have taken place in the past 12 months.
As of the reporting year 2022, the way in which data for the NEA were collected and processed differs in some respects from previous reporting years. As a result, the figures from 2022 may not be comparable in all cases with the figures up to 2021. More information is available in the NEA 2022 study description (see paragraph 4).
All figures are based on at least 100 observations.

Changes as of 9 December 2024:
None, this is a new table.
This table is based on Table 83056NED (see paragraph 3). In the old table, the default case could have been more than 12 months ago. In the new table, the default case has occurred in the past 12 months.
When will there be new figures?
Figures for the previous year shall be published by May at the latest.
