Wadden Sea (Environmental Regulation)
Description
This file contains the wadden area as laid down in the Environmental Ordinance of the Province of Groningen. In this Environmental Regulation, we have introduced rules to protect this area. The Wadden area has great and internationally recognised ecological and landscape value. Since 2009, the Wadden Sea has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Groningen part of the Wadden Sea includes the Wadden Sea (including the islands), the Eems estuary and the Lauwersmeer.
