Actions managed in E.E.N.N.P.P. for the Artales Recovery Plan in Andalusia
Description
One of the most prominent plant formations within the arid Mediterranean area of eastern Andalusia are the so-called artineras or artales, characterized by the threatened flora species Maytenus senegalensis subsp. europaea and Ziziphus lotus, which due to special adaptation mechanisms are able to survive in very extreme conditions, a characteristic that gives them a high ecological value. This work determines the range of the artos, estimating the number of individuals and densities of these species in our community, thus promoting knowledge of these formations as a conservation measure.
