Energy figures for non-residential construction services sector; surface class
Description
This table contains figures on the average consumption of electricity and natural gas per m² of use area for different types of non-residential construction (offices, shops, schools, etc.) in the service sector. This concerns the consumption of natural gas and electricity supplied via the public grid. Natural gas consumption has been adjusted for temperature effects.
Energy numbers are used, among other things, for policy evaluations and benchmarking.
Data based on the year 2012.

The figures in this table are final.
Changes as of 30 January 2019
The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard codes laid down by CBS.
The structure and data of the table have not been adjusted.

When will there be new figures?
Energy numbers don't change quickly. Temperature influences on gas numbers cannot be fully corrected, in order to limit temperature influences on gas numbers as much as possible, it was chosen to base the energy numbers on the year 2012. The year 2012 was an average year in terms of outdoor temperature.
