Distribution of bikes to locations outside bicycle stops in Turku city centre 2020
Description
The data describes the distribution of bikes outside the bicycle stops, i.e. unofficial places in the centre of Turku. The data was collected in September 2020, after which the data has not been updated. There were a minimum of 3 wheels in the survey. Since the mapping was carried out during the COVID-19 period, the number of wheels could have been lower than usual.
Background information on the locations of unofficial bicycle stops can be found, for example, on what could be good places for bike racks in the future or where additional racks could be used. The study is a continuation of the surveys carried out by the City of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences on bicycle stops and stands in the centre of Turku.
