Description
Areas at risk of flooding are areas which:
1. only if an HW event is exceeded, as is statistically expected once in 100 years, or
2. in the event of failure of flood protection systems designed to protect against an HW event, as is statistically expected once in 100 years or more,
are flooded (Section 75(1) SächsWG).
The statutory provisions on the demarcation and public disclosure of the areas as well as on special requirements for projects in these areas are contained in paragraphs 2-6 of § 75 SächsWG.
