Water Opportunities Map Urban Area - Sensitivity to Settling
Description
The water opportunity maps of urban areas are intended to provide insight into the possibilities and limitations of urban expansion.
The settling sensitivity map has the classes low, moderate and highly settling sensitive. The classification is based on a combination of the thickness of the clay coating and the thickness of the Dutch peat, with the additional criterion for moderately settlement sensitive areas being the presence of peat in the soil (upper 120cm).
