Public forests and nature domains managed by ANB on behalf of the Flemish government
Description
The layer ‘Public forests and nature domains managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB)’ contains the lands managed by the Agency. These are: - land acquired, leased or managed by the ANB, - forests of public owners (‘public forests’) where, as a result of the Forest Decree (Art. 45), the technical management is carried out by the ANB, - properties of Defence for which a cooperation protocol Nature Management has been concluded. Land owned by ANB where third parties have rights in rem (concession, transfer of management, lease, ...) is not shown in this layer. For the plots where ANB exercises the full management, the contact details of the manager have been provided. The land is initially registered on the basis of the administrative parcels of the land register (version 2019). Where only parts of parcels are under management, this is updated on the basis of the most recent aerial photograph. Non-cadastral land belonging to public property is also registered by means of aerial photographs. For distribution, the individual lots are aggregated by domain and region. The data is made available to everyone who can use it and is updated monthly.
