Self-employed persons; income, wealth, region (classification 2024)
Description
This table contains data on the income and wealth of the self-employed by region. A distinction is made between, on the one hand, the persons for whom the main income is generated from self-employment and, on the other hand, all persons with income from self-employment. The figures in this table are further broken down by type of self-employed person and by economic activity. Various levels of regional subdivisions are available, from municipality to district.
The reference date of the target population, capital, and municipal classification is 1 January of the reporting year.
All figures in this table are at person level, including abilities; (business) assets are determined per household, and are allocated to all persons in the household as a measure of prosperity. Target population and wealth reference date is 1 January of the reporting year.
The General Business Register (ABR) is used to determine the SBI of the self-employed.
Asset figures for the self-employed are not available for 2010. For this year, we can assume the assets of 2011, because since 2011 the reference date has been shifted from 31 December to 1 January.

Status of figures:
The figures for 2006 to 2022 are final. The figures for 2023 are provisional.
