Environmental Regulation, Restrictions on Livestock Farming
Description
The Environmental Ordinance designates areas with the designation 'Limitation of livestock farming'. For the delimitation of these areas, the boundaries of the extensification area that had been established on the basis of the Reconstruction Act were adhered to. In the designated areas (extensive) restrictions apply to all livestock farms. The aim of the designation is to prevent further intensification due to developments in livestock farming in the designated areas. An exception is made within the area for land-based livestock farms; the conditions laid down for this are the same for all livestock holdings.
