Description
Part 1 (source 1, 2001):
All data collected in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania by members of the NABU National Committee of Malacology has been reviewed and selected and summarised with regard to the following characteristics.
All snails and mussels of the Red List (categories 1 and 2) were selected. In this case, the 2. Version of the Red List (issued 4/2002) as a basis.
Only live finds were taken into account. Since mollusc shells can last for several decades (sometimes even centuries), only the recent evidence reflects the current stock and hazard situation.
Only data were included in the database from 1990 onwards; this presents an up-to-date distribution picture.
Part 2 (source 2, 2004):
According to the same principles, the data on snails and bivalve molluscs of Annex II to the Habitats Directive (specifically: Anisus vorticulus, Vertigo angustior, Vertigo moulinsiana, Helicigona lapicida).
The coordinates (right and high) of the found points were found in the Gauss-Krüger 3 degree system (relating to the 4. Strips) determined and given 7 digits. The database (original format Excel) was invited as an event theme after conversion to dbase and converted into a dot shape file.
