Birth of first child by age of mother and region
Description
This table provides information on the age at which mothers have their first child. The number of live births according to the age of the mother (per five-year age groups) is presented. We also look at the region.
To show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics. The topics are called indicators.

Status of figures
The figures are final.
Changes as of 6 December 2024:
The annual figures for 2023 have been added.
When processing the figures for 2022, the totals for the regional breakdowns of provinces, parts of the country and the Netherlands were wrongly calculated, this has now been corrected.
Changes as of 5 December 2024:
The underlying encodings of the ‘municipality code’ classifications used in this table have been adjusted.
These are now in line with the standard codes laid down by Statistics Netherlands.
The structure and data of the table have not been adjusted.
When will there be new figures?
New figures are expected in December 2025.
