Petroleum products balance; supply, consumption and stock, 1946-April 2021
Description
This table shows the supply and consumption of petroleum products in balance form. Petroleum products include LPG, engine petrol and diesel oil. The balance includes both the products intended for processing or consumption in the Netherlands and those intended for transit.
The calculation of the offer is as follows: production plus input minus output minus bunkers plus inventory change. This is equal to the amount of petroleum products consumed in the Netherlands during the same period. Consumption consists of both consumption and raw material for conversion into other oil products as well as final consumption and other conversion (consumption of oil products for conversion into other energy carriers such as electricity).
From 1990 onwards, the consumption in this table is further broken down by consumption as raw material for conversion into other petroleum products and as final consumption (after which no other energy sources remain). For 1990 only consumption was distinguished as a raw material for conversion.
The initial and final stocks of petroleum products are also published.
