JHS 199 Budget and plan for municipalities and joint municipal authorities
Description
This recommendation, i.e. the definition of a common structure, promotes the obligation for municipalities under the new Local Government Act (Article 109) to publish budget and financial plan information in a public information network and to ensure that the information is published in a uniform format for further exploitation of the information. In particular, uniform presentation of information is needed in relation to the knowledge base and development of the Local Government Finances Programme.
The recommendation targets municipalities and joint municipal authorities with their business enterprises and balance sheet units. The recommendation also takes into account the viewpoint of the municipal group. The manual attached to the Recommendation guides the preparation of binding information in the correct format (application guide).
