Digital True Orthophotos (TrueDOP) 2018 – aerial photography (WMS)
Description
This service provides aerial photographs of the Cologne metropolitan area from 2018 as Digital True Orthophotos (TrueDOP). TrueDOP are high-resolution, distortion-free, true-to-scale, geo-referenced and tilt-free images of the Earth’s surface. They are produced by photogrammetric methods in knowledge of the orientation parameters and with the addition of a digital surface model (DOM) from aerial images. The tilt-free representation conveys a vertical view of the earth’s surface for each individual point of the image. These are widely available for the Cologne city area. They are manufactured according to the product standard of the country based on the definitions of an AdV standard (Consortium of Surveying Administrations of the Länder) and have a soil resolution of 6 cm per pixel. The product consists of 3-channel multispectral images with the channel assignment RGB (red-green-blue). Date of flight and data recording: 04.-06.06.2018
