General Info A-5-17: General Import Permits No. 17
Description
1. Any person may, under the authority of this General Import Permit, import into Canada from any country, any specimens listed in Appendix I, II and III of the Import Control List that are personal or household effects except
1. specimens of a species included in Appendix I of the Import Control List that were acquired by the owner outside of Canada; and
2. specimens of species included in Appendix II and III of the Import Control List acquired by the owner outside Canada by removal from the wild in a country where the export of such specimens requires the prior grant and presentation of an export permit from that state.
