start2park - Recording, understanding and forecasting parking searches

Description

The start2park app is the central component of the start2park research project – capturing, understanding and forecasting parking searches. In order to be able to understand and forecast the parking search (parking search time and parking search route), a database is generated via the start2park app for the first time, with which the parking search can be measured correctly for the first time. With the help of app users, the start and end times of the parking lot search, the entire GPS data of a trip (coordinates, speed, acceleration) as well as other driving and driver-related data are recorded. Driving or driver-related data are, for example, the purpose of the journey or the familiarity of the traveller with the parking situation at the destination of the journey.
