Zvw neighbourhood nursing and treatment; declarations
Description
This table contains annual figures on the expenditure on nursing and care for people who still live at home (neighbourhood care), treatment of sensory disabilities, geriatric rehabilitation care, primary care (from 2017) and medical care for specific patient groups (from 2020) at the expense of the Health Insurance Act (Zvw). In the case of district nursing, the figures relate to both care in kind and care paid for from personal budgets. In the other Zvw forms of care, this only concerns care in kind.
The figures are based on the value of declarations of realized care and estimates of care to be realized by healthcare institutions to health insurers and come from the Zorginstituut Nederland.
Total claims refer to claims received in the current reporting period, claims received after the reporting period and (in case of provisional and further provisional figures) claims still to be received.

Status of figures:
The figures for the most recent reporting year are provisional. The figures for the reporting year preceding the most recent reporting year are further provisional and the other years are final.
Amendments as of 31 May 2024:
Preliminary figures for 2023 have been added. The further provisional figures for 2021 have also been adjusted to final figures and the provisional figures for 2022 to further provisional figures.
When will there be new figures?
The final figures for 2022, the further provisional annual figures for 2023 and the provisional annual figures for 2024 will be published in the second quarter of 2025.
