Preservable brick areas and ensembles in Hamburg

Description

Due to the implementation of the requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance EnEV of the Federal Government and the Hamburg Climate Protection Ordinance, the appearance of the old building stock was also changed by the facade insulation carried out in the course of this. Hamburg's architectural heritage is shaped, among other things, by the brick areas, especially those of the 1920s and 1930s. In order to develop ways to preserve the appearance of these areas - for example by special additional funding of a belt cladding by state subsidies - a mapping of the preserved brick stock was created as a first step. In particular, brick-embossed residential areas (housing quarters, housing estates and building ensembles) in the storey building and its surroundings were surveyed. In single-family and terraced house areas, the focus of the survey is on settlements of the 20s and 30s and earlier. But also areas of the 50/60s with brick embossing of lesser importance were mapped (urban location, their urban planning and architectural design and/or by facade insulation with "belts").
