Thematic Plan Conservation Kongsberg Municipality
Description
The thematic plan is primarily intended to be a tool for the commune’s case officers and others seeking knowledge of Kongsberg’s cultural heritage. The plan is a cultural heritage register and classification. Legally, the plan is a thematic plan to the municipal plan and is thus guiding, but not legally binding. The content of the plan is only legally binding when/if the cultural monuments are incorporated into the municipal plan’s area-use part or in the zoning plan.
In the conservation plan, priorities are made of cultural heritage. The result is that it is visible that some areas, buildings and facilities are more important as cultural monuments than others. But these priorities are not weighted against other social interests. Such a weighty is done when a municipal plan/regulation plan is drawn up and when dealing with individual cases.
The conservation plan is planned to be revised.
